Precision GFRP thermal block
A closed-section vinyl-ester / ECR-glass composite, engineered for permanent embedment in alkaline concrete beneath a door threshold. Corrosion-immune, non-conductive, and dimensionally stable across every temperature the building will ever see.
Block quantity and the shop-drawing scope depend on your specific door, span, and opening — so KORSYS is priced per project. Tell us the door and we'll return a fixed quote with your sample kit.
Not sure how many blocks? The calculator estimates count and placement by door system, span, panel count, and interlock positions.

| Flexural strength | 744 MPa longitudinal |
| Water absorption | 0.17–0.42% |
| Density | 1.85–1.95 g/cm³ |
| Thermal conductivity | 0.35 W/mK typical |
| Alkali resistance | 88% retention (60-day) |
| Service temperature | −40°F to +180°F |
| Hole geometry | 2ר14 base / 2ר25 top |

Load-bearing, thermally neutral, adjustable base connection.
It depends on the door system, configuration, span, panel count and interlock positions. Spacing along a span typically runs 12–24 inches on center with additional blocks at each interlock and jamb. Use the sizing calculator for an estimate; final placement comes from the project shop drawings.
Yes — for every project, regardless of door system. They are not an add-on; they are how the system is delivered. Drawings show block and rod coordinates, embedment depths, elevation targets, EPS geometry, foam injection points and Visit 2 adjustment points.
Everything except the block is a commodity item: 304 stainless threaded rod, hex nuts, fender washers, structural epoxy (Hilti HY-200, Simpson SET-XP or equivalent), polyurethane expansion foam and rigid EPS. Source them locally on any project.
Raw tube is available, but it lacks the resin chemistry qualified for concrete embedment, the wall thickness, the hole geometry and the quality control. On-site fabrication also adds significant labor per assembly — and without engineered drawings, the coordination gaps that fail traditional thresholds remain.
KORSYS is quoted per project — block quantity and the shop-drawing scope depend on your specific door and opening. Request a quote and we'll return a fixed price with the sample kit.
